Awards and rankings in 2008

Swedbank has received numerous awards and favourable rankings in various indexes and studies. Some of them are listed here below.

Most attractive employer in Lithuania

Swedbank Lithuania was announced the most attractive employer by Gallup. 

Best Estonian bank  

The newspaper Euromoney nominated Hansabank (now Swedbank Estonia) the best bank in Estonia in 2007.

Most attractive employer in financial sector

Universum Communications ranked Swedbank as the most attractive employer in the financial sector among business students in Sweden. 

Most improved website

The communication company Hallvarsson & Halvarsson ranked Swedbank's site www.swedbank.com the second best corporate site in Sweden. Swedbank was also the website that that improved the most in 2008 and was therefore ranked "Best climber".

 

Most equal company in Sweden

In Folksam's yearly review, Swedbank was announced as the most equal Large cap company in Sweden. 

Swedbank among the sector leaders in the world in CSR  

Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) ranked Swedbank was as the the only Nordic company among the sector leaders. This is published in The Sustainability Yearbook 2009. In the DJSI research for 2008 Swedbank recieved 69 points out of 100, an increase with eight percent since 2007. 

Best internet bank  

The newspaper Global Finance rewarded Hansa Net Bank with three awards for the nest internet bank in Central- and Eastern Europe. 

Best fund broker  

The research company Lipper announced Robur the best fund broker in the Nordic region. The fund company awards received by Swedbank Robur were the "Best Fund Group over Three Years, Mixed Assets Group - Large and "Best Fund Group over Three Years, Overall Group - Large. 

Investor Relations team rewarded

IR Magazine Awards to place in Copenhagen in June 2008, where Swebank's Investor Relations team recieved the prize for "Most progress in IR, Nordics". 

Fund Manager of the Year for 2007  

Swedbank Robur has received the "Grand Prix award as Sweden's Fund Manager of the Year" from the business daily Dagens Industri and investment research firm Morningstar for its "strong fund performance in 2007. Swedbank Robur also received the Grand Prix - Fund Manager of the Year award in 2003 and in every one of the last five years has been awarded a medal in one of the various categories.  

Best in reputation research  

the Nordic Brand Academy awarded Swedbank as the best company in the financial sector in the yearly reputation barometer of 2008. 

The news letter of the year  

Swedbank's Private Banking team was awarded "Guldbladet" (the golden leaf) for the best news letter in Sweden in 2008 by The Swedish Association of Custom Publishers.
