Swedbank is integrating social and environmental considerations in our core business by taking into account customers’ and holdings' environmental risks and opportunities in our investment- and credit decisions. We assist our customers in reaching their individual financial objectives while also helping them understand how different alternatives affect the environment.

A target in our Sustainable Banking Strategy is that by 2013, we will, on a yearly basis, present our investment/credit dialogues environmental issues have been addressed and the results of such dialogue, as well as investment/credit decisions made where human rights, corruption and climate issues have been determinant. We believe that our success as a bank is inextricably linked to helping meet the social and environmental challenges of our times. We are sure that integrating a sustainability perspective in our business will offer new opportunities such as new investors, new customers, and easier access to talented and engaged employees.

For information on environmental considerations in our investment process, please see Swedbank Robur's web site.
