Strategies
Swedbank’s environmental objectives will be reached by using a set of strategies that are based on our environmental aspects and on our environmental policy:
- An environmental analysis should be done prior to Capital Investment or Placement of Funds as well as the extension of credit.
- The bank should offer banking services with a specific environmental profile.
- The bank will bring environmental aspects into focus through cooperation with authorities and organisations in the community who specifically work with environmental issues.
- Environmental issues should be incorporated into the training and competence development that the bank’s employees participate in.
- Swedbank should be an active employer in highlighting the importance of environmental issues as part of the foundation of the business and company’s core values.
- Through sponsorship the bank will support environmental projects and research.
- The bank will actively pursue a dialogue with its stakeholders in order to increase knowledge and awareness of sustainable development.
