Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
The financial sector affects society in many ways. As a financial institution, Swedbank must, in its daily operations, behave responsibly and ethically to maintain the long-term confidence of the market and other parts of society. The bank holds sizeable market shares in its home markets. This imposes particularly high demands for responsible action.
The bank is regularly reviewed by analysts specializing in the ethical perspective for the purposes of “Socially Responsible Investments.”
Issues of social responsibility and ethics are important to Swedbank. The bank’s international expansion imposes continuous demands on the adaptation and ongoing development of the bank’s policies.
