Swedbank’s second quarter report 2010: The positive trend continues

Swedbank’s results continued to improve during the second quarter and the bank reported a profit of SEK 1 567 million. In the Baltic countries, credit quality improved more rapidly than anticipated, which led credit losses to decrease strongly. Assuming that the global macro economy develops according to current expectations, results will likely continue to improve. Swedbank shows financial strength in EU’s stress test

The results of EU’s stress tests, comprising 91 banks in 20 EU countries, were presented today. The aim of the test is to further test the financial resilience among European banks, in the case a situation would arise with a drastic further economic downturn and market turbulence. Read more
