2008-05-28
This year at the annual competition of the crime and other legal violation prevention projects arranged by Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior the educational road safety project “Eismo klasė” (“Traffic Class”) initiated by “Hansa lizingas” has become a winner. The project was acknowledged as the best and most effective prevention project implemented in 2007.
“Eismo klasė” project initiated and supported by “Hansa lizingas” carries out the children’s educational road safety programme for third year in succession. The project which is implemented in regional and city schools throughout the entire country is designed for 4th year students. The project is quite exceptional — a team of competent trained instructors tell students about the road safety and include examples of the real situations at the road using the specially equipped Citroën C3.
“Since the autumn of 2005 the team of “Eismo klasė” instructors has visited 350 national schools, over 8300 students of 4th year have participated in the road safety training exercises. Last year “Eismo klasė” team has visited approximately 80 schools throughout entire Lithuania, this spring it plans to visit a fair number of schools”, says Andrius Urbonas, Director General of “Hansa lizingas”.
