The representative office in Tokyo has been functioning since October 1994. It was started to provide a closer link to and keep good relationships with debt/equity investors in Japan and Asia.

Today the representative office continues to develop relationships with investors in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. This includes not only debt/equity investment but also introducing other Swedbank products e. g. from Swedbank Robur. Another activity is to keep good relationships with Swedish companies operating in Japan and with Swedish individuals needing assistance in financial matters.
