In 2006, Swedbank in Lithuania, together with the LNK television channel and Vilnius University, initiated the
National Advancement Awards. The aim of the three annual awards, granted in the areas of Science, Partnership and Culture, is to recognise and reward those individuals who contribute most to progress in Lithuania, to expand long-term relations between science and business, and to encourage the business community to contribute to Lithuania’s intellectual, cultural and social development. Named “Lithuania’s Nobel Prize” by the local press, the project was very well received and appreciated by Lithuanian society.
Hansa Leasing in Lithuania helps people acquire new and safe vehicles. In addition, Hansa Leasing has started

The project involves school children of 9-10 years of age, who participate in simulated traffic situations with a specially prepared car. Since the launch of the project in 2005, the team of Traffic School instructors has visited over 350 schools in Lithuania and more than 9,000 school children have taken part in the safety training sessions.
