Outsourcing Policy

Outsourcing has become a widespread phenomenon in the corporate and banking sector.

Swedbank`s Outsourcing Policy requires a careful due diligence process when selecting an appropriate third party service provider. Outsourcing of a specific activity must therefore offer a satisfactory and sustainable long-term solution for Swedbank with positive commercial and strategic effects.

Outsourcing is defined as a process by which financial activities and functions, which are subject to special requirements and restrictions by law and government regulation, and that normally are handled internally by companies in Swedbank Group instead are procured from an outside provider (external outsourcing). The policy also covers outsourcing of activities between companies within Swedbank Group (internal outsourcing).
