Share repurchases
Since 2004 the AGM has authorized Swedbank's Board to decide on share repurchase to facilitate an adjustment of the bank's capital structure to the capital need. Decisions about share repurchase will only be made if the Board considers that Swedbank has a capitalization that exceeds the desired level. Share repurchases are reported here on the day after such transactions have been made. Relevant press releases
The 2007 AGM resolved to authorize the bank’s Board, on one or more occasions until the next AGM, to decide to acquire the bank’s own shares, over and above those acquired by the securities operations, up to 5 percent of all shares in the bank.
Acquisitions may only be made via the Stockholm Stock Exchange and only at a price that at the time of acquisition falls within the range of the highest bid price and lowest ask price.
