To effectively improve services for the bank's customers, take advantage of economies of scale and strenghten its competitiveness, Swedbank has combined a number of shared functions into a single organization. This applies mainly in the areas of IT and support, though to a growing extent in other specialized areas such as purchasing, legal affairs and administrative support as well.
