Swedbank award-winner in two categories regarding Investor Relations work

07-07-2011 9:41
Swedbank has been awarded the distinction “Best investor relations by a Swedish company” for the second year in a row as well as “The best investor relations by sector in Europe, bank/finance” by IR Magazine. It is the first time a Swedish company wins a price in the pan-European category. The prices were distributed last week at the IR Magazine Awards in London. IR Magazine is part of the Economist Group.

The winners are nominated after thorough interviews with more than 700 analysts and investors by IR Magazine. They nominate the companies they believe offer the best service and give the best financial information, when it comes to reports, web site and investor meetings.

The awards are divided into categories such as sectors and countries. Four companies are nominated within each category, the winners are revealed at the awards dinner. Swedbank was also nominated in the pan-European category “Best corporate literature” together with two German companies and one Danish.

- This is great. It’s hard and insistent work within several parts of the organisation behind these awards, and the confirmation that it’s appreciated among our investors and analysts is a proof that we are on the right track. IR Magazine Awards is one of the most well-reputed price awards within investor relations in Europe, says Johannes Rudbeck, Head of Investor Relations at Swedbank.

Apart from Swedbank, Nordea, SEB and TeliaSonera was nominated in the category “Best investor relations by a Swedish company”.
