Swedbank Robur invest in a large number of companies, both in Sweden and abroad. We thus have a major responsibility to influence companies to develop their sustainability efforts. Here we describe the companies we invest in and those we exclude. We also describe how we influence companies and our sustainability funds.
  • As part of our financial analysis, we identify companies' sustainability risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • We want to influence companies we own to continuously improve within the areas of the environment and climate change, human rights, labor standards and business ethics. We also want to influence companies to have good corporate governance.
  • We exclude companies - Some companies are excluded for sustainability reasons, but our main principle is to remain as owner and use our ability to influence.

Sustainability in funds

We launched the first sustainability fund in 1980 and have since developed our work with sustainability analysis and ownership. What was initially a simple exclusion of certain products and companies, advanced to include an environmental analysis in the 1990's. In the early 2000s, we further developed our assessments to include social and ethical issues in our analysis.

Swedbank Robur's responsible investments and our ownership policy is the basis for the work on sustainability and corporate governance in our funds. These policies cover all Swedbank Robur funds. For those who want companies' sustainability efforts to be of key importance when choosing a fund, we have several options and we also offer funds with an in-depth sustainability work (conducted within the scope of the policy on responsible investments).
