Swedbank in Latvia reaches "Diamond" level in national Sustainability Index
Swedbank has reached the highest category, "Diamond", in the Latvian Sustainability Index. According to the Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility, a "Diamond company" looks beyond its direct impact and contributes to the development of the future society, and is able to learn from its mistakes and listen to the views of stakeholders.

Swedbank is the Most Loved Brand in the Baltics
On 24 September at the Baltic Brand Awards, Swedbank Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania were chosen by society for the third time as the most loved brand in their country, while Swedbank Baltics was recognised as the most loved and humane brand in the Baltics.
Green light in Ambition index 2021
Swedbank got the green light when the Haga Initiative examined which of the stock exchange’s large Swedish companies had set up targets to halve their greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 in accordance with the 1.5˚C target.
Swedbank industry winner in Sustainable Brand™ 2021
For the second year in a row, Swedbank was recognised as the winner in the banking industry in all three Baltic countries.
Swedbank Latvia received the historically highest score and Platinum level in the annual Sustainability Index. Sustainability Index is a leading national platform in Latvia aiming to improve sustainability practice in the business environment and public sector.
Financial Times Climate Leaders 2021
The Financial Times mapped the 300 European companies that were the most successful in reducing greenhouse gas emissions between 2014 and 2019. Swedbank was the highest-ranked financial company among Swedish companies.

Swedbank qualified for the Dow Jones Sustainability Index 2020, one of the world’s most influential sustainability indices. Each year the index ranks the world’s most sustainable companies, and being selected is proof of Swedbank’s consistent and effective sustainability work in terms of the environment, economy and social criteria.

2019 GEI companies exhibit higher levels of female representation at executive level, in addition to providing best-in-class policies and benefits to support gender equality.
Swedbank is in a good position in terms of gender equality, according to Equileap
Swedbank was ranked in third place in Sweden and in 66th place overall in Gender Equality Global Report & Ranking 2019.
The report, compiled by Equileap for the third year in a row, ranked 3,519 public companies in 23 developed countries based on 19 criteria such as gender balance in the workforce, senior management and board, as well as the pay gap, parental leave and sexual harassment.

Swedbank was again named the most sustainable bank in the Sustainable Brand Index Business to Business, based on a survey of decision-makers in Sweden’s largest companies.
Equal Pay Employer
Swedbank in Latvia received an award for the country’s most equal pay, based on the results of Fonte’s annual national survey.
Green Banking Awards
Swedbank was named Best Green Bank in Sweden by Capital Finance International.
Swedbank Robur named “Sustainable Actor of the Year”
Swedbank Robur received the award “Sustainable Actor of the Year”. The award is based on the results of a report from Söderberg & Partners containing an analysis of the entire Swedish savings market. Swedbank Robur received the prize for its long-term, goal-oriented work with ownership and sustainability issues.
Swedbank Robur named “2018 Fund Manager of the Year”
Sweden’s largest fund marketplace, fondmarknaden.se, named Swedbank Robur “Fund Manager of the Year” for high returns, for integrating sustainability into its investments and for launching new sustainability-focused products.
National Responsible Business Awards in Lithuania
Swedbank was recognised as Lithuania’s most socially responsible company for its major efforts in financial education, promoting volunteerism and building an open and sustainable society in Lithuania.

Swedbank was awarded ninth place in a ranking of the world’s 200 best companies in the field of gender equality. Swedbank also ranked as the third best bank in the world for gender equality.
Climetrics Climate Impact Rating
Swedbank Robur was named the world’s leading fund manager for climate-smart fund management in Climetrics’ climate rating based on data from CDP.
Responsible Business Awards
Swedbank received the highest award, Gold, from the Responsible Business Forum in Estonia.

Swedbank was ranked 32 out of 47 in Allbright’s green list of the most equal companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 2018.
The 125 most powerful women in Swedish business by VA
Birgitte Bonnesen was ranked in second place in the category Managing Directors of listed companies. Together with the board, she has set requirements and pursued issues concerning gender equality for several years.
Liza Jonson was ranked in second place in the category Directors. She leads Sweden’s largest fund company, creating value for four million fund investors while also building up the company’s sustainability commitment.

Swedbank tops Nordic region’s largest sustainability study
Swedbank was named the most sustainable bank in the Sustainable Brand Index B2B Study, based on responses from decision-makers in Sweden’s largest companies.
Anna’s Gender Equality Prize
The award is presented annually in Sweden to a person, company, club, project or work group in the banking and finance industry for efforts to promote gender equality and diversity. The 2017 prize was awarded to Swedbank.
Dow Jones Sustainability Index
The index is one of the most prestigious sustainability rankings for global investors, with a limit for inclusion of 85. Swedbank raised its score significantly, from 77 to 84, surpassing our own goal of 80.
Guldkanten
Swedbank won the National Government Employee Pensions Board (SPV) award for Sweden’s best pension information, for the campaign “First Pension Aid” and collaboration with Swedish online news publisher KIT.
National Responsible Business Awards in Lithuania
Swedbank Lithuania was named the country’s most socially engaged company and the one that takes the greatest social responsibility.
Human Development Awards
Swedbank in Latvia won this national award for outstanding contributions to Latvia’s educational system.
Gold Label of Responsible Business
Swedbank in Estonia received the highest award for responsible business from the Responsible Business Forum.
