Anna Breman – Swedbank’s new Chief Economist
Anna has been in Swedbank since 2013, when she joined as Senior Economist in the Research department. She has a broad experience in the macro area, previously having worked with macro research at the Swedish Ministry of Finance – most recently as Deputy Director, as well as for the World Bank.
Anna has a Ph.D. in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and has also a research background, where she has been at - among others - Harvard University and the University of Arizona.
Michael Wolf, Swedbank’s CEO, comments on the appointment:
”Anna’s competencies and experiences is a valuable asset for the entire bank. In her new role as Chief Economist, Anna will continue to focus on issues and areas that affect our customers and contribute through qualified analysis in topical and central questions.”
Olof Manner, Head of Swedbank Research, says:
”I’m very pleased with this recruitment that is a key appointment in the Swedbank Research team. I’ve been working with Anna during three years now and can confirm that she combines an in-depth understanding of the markets with a pedagogic approach that benefits and is appreciated by both customers and co-workers.”
Anna assumes her new responsibilities immediately.
