Equileap's report focuses on the development of gender equality and diversity in major companies at a global level, by grading and reviewing statistics based on 19 different criteria’s.
“We are happy and proud to be among the hundred best companies in the world, and ranked as the top three of all companies in Sweden. This top ranking in Sweden confirms that what we do give results and that we are on the right track. Now we will continue our work with even more energy and determination, and to contribute to a positive development going forward”, says Carina Strand, Head of Group HR at Swedbank.
Further proof that Swedbank is making progress in the area of gender equality and diversity is that the bank has today signed "United Nations Principles for Women's Empowerment" (WEP's) - which includes 7 principles aimed at aligning the financial sector with the UN goals for sustainable development.
"We are already working aligned with the WEP’s principles. They are already part of both our internal work processes and our policy "Gender equality, diversity and inclusion". But of course, signing is an important statement in itself and a step in the right direction”, says Carina Strand.
